Microsoft taps ex-Meta exec to lead Copilot branding
Tech giant Microsoft Corporation has appointed a former Meta expert as the new creative director for its Copilot consumer artificial intelligence chatbot, according to a report by The Information on Thursday. The strategic move aims to enhance marketing efforts and draw attention to Microsoft's latest AI chatbot offerings.
Mark D'Arcy, who spent a decade at Meta before leaving in 2021, will report to Mustafa Suleyman, Microsoft's AI CEO. His primary focus will be on Copilot, a chatbot similar to ChatGPT.
The development comes as other companies are also advancing in the AI industry, intensifying competition. Microsoft, OpenAI, Google, Meta, and xAI have all developed their own AI chatbots, vying for the interest of both consumers and businesses.
