Israeli army spokesperson Daniel Hagari warned in a statement on Saturday that Israel will be "obliged to respond" if Tehran "makes a mistake" and decides to escalate in the aftermath of Israel's airstrikes on military sites in Iran.

While confirming that the attack on Iran is over, Hagari noted that Israel is prepared to respond to any potential Iranian retaliatory action.

According to Hagari, the strikes proved Israel's willingness to act "decisively" in defense of its citizens.
