Iran rejects Macron's claims on equipment use in Ukraine
Spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry Esmail Baghaei rejected French officials' claims regarding Iran's involvement in the Ukrainian conflict on Friday. He called the repetition of such accusations "irresponsible" and described it as a reflection of France's "insistence on a projective approach" and lack of commitment to restoring peace in Europe and globally.
Baqaei stressed that Iran “has no interference in the Ukrainian conflict and insists on Iran's principled position in opposing war and the necessity of ending the conflict through dialogue and diplomatic negotiations between the relevant parties." He urged French officials to stop the blame game and address their own responsibilities in regional and international peace efforts.
"Russia has already made the Ukrainian conflict a global conflict. It has mobilized North Korean soldiers and Iranian equipment on our continent while helping these countries to arm themselves more," Macron said on Wednesday.
