Iranian Navy said on Saturday that it stopped a "British spy destroyer" in the Sea of Oman, forcing it to change course, according to a statement posted on Fars News Agency.

The British vessel "entered the northern Indian Ocean last night to guide Israeli missiles into Iranian territory [and] was detected by timely monitoring of the Navy's intelligence systems," the Iranian Navy remarked.

Iran's Navy combat drones then issued a warning, preventing the ship from continuing its journey toward the Persian Gulf.
