Hezbollah announced on Monday that it fired artillery at Israeli troops attempting to cross into southern Lebanon.

In a statement, the militant group said its fighters targeted an Israeli infantry force near the border village of Markaba, describing the action as a response to an "infiltration attempt."

Hezbollah also claimed it launched rockets at Israeli soldiers in other areas, including Labbouneh in southern Lebanon. The Israel Defense Forces have not yet commented on the incident.
