Harris: We are not a vessel for schemes of wannabe dictators
United States Vice President Kamala Harris made her case against former President Donald Trump by stressing that the country's founders did not "struggle, sacrifice and lay down their lives" just to see Americans "submit to the will of another petty tyrant."
Harris cast herself as a unity candidate who would give those who disagree with her "a seat at the table," unlike Trump, who "wants to put them in jail." The US is "not a vessel for the schemes of wannabe dictators," she added.
She closed out her final pitch to voters at the Ellipse in Washington DC by reminding supporters that they have "the power to turn the page and start writing the next chapter" in what she called "the most extraordinary story ever told."
