United States Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell remarked on Thursday that the country's economy is "not sending any signals" that the bank should hurry with further loosening of its monetary policy.
"The strength we are currently seeing in the economy gives us the ability to approach our decisions carefully. Ultimately, the path of the policy rate will depend on how the incoming data and the economic outlook evolve," he mentioned while speaking at an event in Dallas, Texas.
He reiterated that while the US economy is in a "good place," the labor market remains in solid condition and inflation is on a "sustainable path" to 2%.
