Calendar and seasonally adjusted retail sales in Spain rose by 1.3% in February compared to the month before, the country's National Statistics Institute revealed in a report on Thursday.

Food retail sales grew by 0.6%, while other products retail trade jumped by 1.6% on a monthly basis.

Calendar and seasonally adjusted retail sales surged by 3.6% on an annual basis in February. In nominal terms, retail sales increased by 0.8% year-over-year, the report showed.
