CME Group announced Friday that it plans to roll out Solana (SOL) futures contracts on March 17, 2025, pending regulatory approval.

"With the launch of our new SOL futures contracts, we are responding to increasing client demand for a broader set of regulated products to manage cryptocurrency price risk," GME Group Global Head of Cryptocurrency Products Giovanni Vicioso noted.

With this new product, investors will have the opportunity to trade micro contracts of 25 SOL as well as larger-sized contracts of 500 SOL. SOL futures will join the company's crypto product suite that includes Bitcoin and Ether futures.
