Fortnite developer Epic Games revealed on Friday that Apple has rejected their mobile application submission for both the United States App Store and the Epic Games store in the EU after Apple blocked a bid to bring back the battle royale game to the US App Store.

"Apple has blocked our Fortnite submission so we cannot release to the US App Store or to the Epic Games Store for iOS in the European Union. Now, sadly, Fortnite on iOS will be offline worldwide until Apple unblocks it," the official account of the game said.

Last week, Epic Games submitted Fortnite to Apple's US App Store, following a judicial ruling that prohibited Apple from charging fees on transactions that users complete outside of an iOS application.
