The United States 9th Circuit Court of Appeals has temporarily blocked US District Judge Charles Breyer's order, directing US President Donald Trump to return control of National Guard troops deployed to Los Angeles.

The court is set to hold a hearing on the matter on June 17.

Earlier, Breyer issued a temporary restraining order, saying that Trump's deployment of 4,000 National Guard troops to Los Angeles was a breach of the 10th Amendment and calling the move illegal.
