Viscofan S.A. is one of the world leaders in the production and distribution of artificial casings for the meat industry. The group has a wide range of solutions and products and offer Cellulose casings - made from natural cellulose, Plastic casings - made from a range of polymers, Collagen casings is obtained from cow and hog hides and processed using sophisticated technology so that it can be shaped into casings, Fibrous casings are cellulose casings reinforced with manila hemp, which makes for high strength and highly uniform calibre. Furthermore the company is producing machines for the use of their special casings that cannot be applied by conventional meat machinery. Its subsidary IAN Group for vegetable food was sold im March 2015. Viscofan has casing production sites in Spain, Germany, Brazil,China, the US, Mexico, the Czech Republic, Uruguay and Serbia and 14 sales offices. Founded in 1975 Viscofan group is present in over 100 countries around the world and headquartered in Tajonar-Navarra, Spain.
