Trump says Harris running a 'campaign of hate'
Former United States President Donald Trump said Vice President Kamala Harris "is running a campaign of hate," as opposed to his "campaign of positive solutions to save America."
"She has spent all week comparing her political opponents to the most evil mass murderers in history," Trump wrote on X. "Now, on top of everything, Joe Biden calls our supporters 'garbage.' You can't lead America if you don't love the American People," he stressed. During Trump's weekend rally at Madison Square Garden, a comic called Puerto Rico a "floating island of garbage." This, in turn, prompted Biden, in a call organized by the Hispanic advocacy group Voto Latino, to say: "The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters. His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable."
Biden then took to X to clarify what he meant. "Earlier today I referred to the hateful rhetoric about Puerto Rico spewed by Trump's supporter at his Madison Square Garden rally as garbage—which is the only word I can think of to describe it. His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable. That's all I meant to say," he wrote.
