Jaguar Land Rover Automotive PLC, a subsidiary of Tata Motors Ltd., halted exports to the United States following new tariffs introduced by the Trump administration, The Times reported. The UK-based automaker began pausing shipments on Monday as it evaluates how to respond to the trade measures.
A Jaguar Land Rover spokesperson said the US remains an important market and that the company is taking "short-term actions" while working on longer-term plans.
A 25% duty on all foreign-made cars entering the US took effect Thursday.
