Member of the European Central Bank (ECB) Governing Council and Bank of Finland Governor Olli Rehn warned on Tuesday that the tariffs United States President Donald Trump imposed on Canada, China, and Mexico, and could do so on other countries and territories could reduce the global economic output by more than 0.5% in 2025 and 2026.
Speaking at a press conference, Rehn urged the Eurozone to find a joint solution to "effectively enhance our common external security."
Furthermore, Rehn predicted that all the factors indicate that inflation in the euro area will "align" with its target of 2% medium-term.
