Bank of Japan (BoJ) Governor Kazuo Ueda told Japan's parliament on Tuesday that the central bank is working to achieve a stable 2% inflation rate. He said this goal is based on the overall Consumer Price Index (CPI) and must be sustainable.
Ueda explained that underlying inflation excludes temporary price changes, but identifying these factors can be challenging.
