UK summons Russian envoy over alleged 'malign activity'

UK's Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) summoned Russian Ambassador Andrey Kelin on Friday in response to allegations of Moscow's involvement in malign activities within the UK.

The FCDO expressed "deep concerns" regarding the actions attributed to Russia, emphasizing a pattern of behavior that suggests an orchestrated effort to undermine the sovereignty of other nations.

"We call for an immediate cessation of this activity and we will continue to work with our allies to deter and defend against the full spectrum of threats that emanate from Russia," the government said in the note.
