Israel reopened on Wednesday the Kerem Shalom border crossing with the Gaza Strip for humanitarian aid after it was closed on Sunday following the attacks launched by Hamas which killed three Israeli soldiers.
"Aid trucks are already arriving at the crossing. After a thorough security inspection, they will be transferred to the Gazan side," Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.
On Monday, the White House stressed that it is "unacceptable" that border crossings in Rafah and Kerem Shalom are closed for humanitarian aid, and revealed that both crossings are expected to be reopened today.
